Novel CT radiomics models for the postoperative prediction of early recurrence of resectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma: A single‐center retrospective study in China

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To assess the predictive capability of CT radiomics features for early recurrence (ER) of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Methods Postoperative PDAC patients were retrospectively selected, all of whom had undergone preoperative CT imaging and surgery. Both patients with resectable or borderline‐resectable pancreatic cancer met

Long‐Term Survival, Burden of Disease, and Patient‐Centered Outcomes in Maximally Treated Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Increasing evidence shows that patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) can achieve better‐than‐expected outcomes with aggressive therapy. However, real‐world long‐term data, patient‐centered outcomes, and societal measures after maximal ICH treatment are lacking.

Spatiotemporal zoning of groundwater quality in Rechna Doab: analysis of Electrical Conductivity (EC), Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR), and Residual Sodium Carbonate (RSC) variability

open access: yesEQA
Groundwater quality is essential for sustaining human and plant life, as its degradation can harm vital organisms critical for ecosystem balance. GIS-based models have proven effective in large-scale water quality zoning, offering precise and efficient ...

Application of Sugarcane Bagasse in Controlling the Clogging of the Synthetic Drainage Envelopes in Ramhormoz Limy Soils [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و مهندسی آبیاری, 2019
While there are several types of salts in the soil, salts that have higher solubility in water are dissolved and removed from the soil,  But salts with low solubility in soil, sediment layers hard to cause clogging in the soil or in their coverage. Among

Generation of Advanced Blood–Brain Barrier Spheroids Using Human‐Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell‐Derived Brain Capillary Endothelial‐Like Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
In this article, the establishment and characterization of a self‐assembled 3D BBB spheroid model using human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)‐derived and primary cells is reported. Spheroids demonstrate in‐vivo like tight junction ultrastructure and, in comparison to 2D mono‐cultures, higher transcript expression of BBB specific genes.
