Self‐aligned gate transistors are developed with a single‐step dielectric passivation and fine‐tuning of source/drain electrode work function using phosphonic acid self‐assembled monolayers (SAM). This transistor architecture minimizes overlap capacitances and access resistance.

PFG NMR time-dependent diffusion coefficient analysis of confined emulsion: post drainage phase conformation [PDF]
In this work, we present a characterization of phase configuration in water-saturated sintered glass bead samples after oil injection, through the analysis of time-dependent diffusion coefficients obtained from sets of one-dimensional pulsed field gradient nuclear magnetic resonance (PFG NMR) measurements, pre and post drainage.

This work establishes a general theory of the current transient of ionic‐electronic transistors under a step of gate voltage. The dominant effect is a transient charging of the channel by diffusion of ions. The additional influence of electrolyte capacitance and resistance splits the fundamental time constant of diffusion into two different components.

Inspired by shark skin, which has a hydrophilic “denticle layer” and a low surface energy “mucus layer,” a triple‐defense antifouling coating is developed. This coating features a robust hydrophilic catalytic nanoparticle layer overlaid with dispersed hydrophobic perfluoro‐silane domains, optimizing fouling resistance, release, and degradation for ...

Symmetric drainage flow of a compressible fluid from a fracture: analytical solution and slip-like flow rate [PDF]
Symmetric drainage flow of a compressible fluid from a fracture modeled as a long narrow channel is studied on the basis of linearized compressible Navier-Stokes equations with no-slip condition. The Helmholtz decomposition theorem is used to decompose the velocity field into an irrotational part and a solenoidal part.

This work investigates modifying interfacial contacts in realizing giant‐performance semiconductor nanomembrane optoelectronics. Strategies, including surface reaction and buffer layer work‐function modulation, are explored to boost the Schottky barrier. An emerging material of YbOx is utilized for near‐ideal Ohmic contact.

Shape‐Stabilization of Phase Change Materials with Carbon‐Conscious Poly(hydroxy)Urethane Foams
Poly(hydroxy)urethane (PHU) foam, derivable from carbon dioxide (CO2) and bio‐based resources, is a promising material platform for shape‐stabilizing phase change materials (PCMs). We demonstrate the encapsulation of both paraffins and calcium chloride hexahydrate in PHU foam, achieving 48 stable thermal cycles by introducing 5 wt.% barium carbonate ...

IMPACT ASSESSEMENT OF SEWERAGE DRAIN ON TUBEWELL WATER QUALITY USING MT3D MODEL
In last few decades, the demand of fresh water is rising magnificently due to rapid increase in population and food demand. A large quantity of groundwater is being used for irrigation due to shortage of surface water.
