Thin‐Film Transistor Based Active Taxel for Multimode Tactile Perception and Fused Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Skin serves as the largest‐area organ for human and embodied intelligent robots, providing tactile interaction. An active multimode fused (AMF) artificial skin is developed using standard TFT processes, featuring 2T‐1C taxels with optical and electrostatic capacitive receptors for cross‐modal sensing.

Retinomorphic Visual Processing Enabled by Contact‐Engineered IGZO Optoelectronic Synaptic Memtransistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, we present an optoelectronic synaptic memtransistor (OSMT) integrating photoresponsive IGZO with contact‐engineered HfO2, enabling electrically and optically tunable synaptic weights. The device demonstrates broad range of tunable conductance states and array‐level image processing, highlighting its potential for intelligent machine vision ...

A Review of Failure Modes and Safety Strategies of Lithium‐Ion Batteries from Materials to Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cascade‐aware framework is presented for lithium‐ion battery safety, linking thermal runaway initiation, acceleration, runaway reaction, and propagation with material‐, cell/pack‐, and system‐level interventions. By integrating failure mechanisms, quantitative safety indicators, and staged interception strategies, this review highlights how safer ...

Stromal Regulation of Tumor Perineural Invasion: A Multicellular and Neuro‐Ecological Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review reframes perineural invasion (PNI) as a dynamic, multicellular process within the tumor–nerve–stromal ecosystem. The authors delineate how cancer‐associated fibroblasts, Schwann cells, and immune cells remodel the neural niche to facilitate tumor spread.

Eye‐Brain Neuroimmune Axis Enables Long‐Term Survival in Glioblastoma by Modulating Brain Immune Surveillance and Neuronal Excitability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The eye–brain neuroimmune axis triggers immune activation and disrupts pathological neuronal connectivity to extend glioblastoma survival. ABSTRACT As an anatomical extension of the central nervous system (CNS), the eye harbors rich neural and immune interfaces with the brain. However, the integrated immunological and neurological nexus between the eye
