Caxton's Afterlife in Manuscript (c.1475‐c.1500)
Renaissance Studies, Volume 40, Issue 2, Page 274-292, April 2026.Abstract At least thirty‐five manuscript copies of Caxton's prints have been found so far. This article explores the implications of such manuscript copies of Caxton's prints and, interrupting the linear history of the book, considers Caxton's appeal beyond print in manuscript.
