A Bone Marrow–Mimetic Hydrogel Enables Dual‐Phase Hemostasis and Vascularized Osteogenesis for Cranial Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic, fiber‐reinforced hydrogel (FE‐PDA@Fib/Gel‐TG) that enables dual‐phase cranial defect repair. The system provides: instant hemostasis in the early stage, and sustained co‐delivery of pro‐angiogenic and osteogenic signals for synergistic vascularized bone regeneration.

Defensive responses of titan triggerfish to tiger sharks at a provisioned reef

open access: yesScientific Reports
Titan triggerfish (Balistoides viridescens) are among the most territorial reef fishes, known for aggressively defending nests from intruders. In the Maldives’ Fuvahmulah atoll, where tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) aggregate in high numbers year-round,

CALB2 is a Mechanoresistance Gene in Metastatic Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer cell lines of differing origins were cultured over many passages while being subjected to semi‐lethal levels of fluid shear stress, representing the harsh mechanical environment these cells are subjected to in the circulation during the process of distant metastasis.

Overcoming Interfacial Hurdles in Solid‐State Aluminum Batteries for Safe and Energy‐Dense Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Solid‐state aluminum batteries (SSABs) promise high energy density and intrinsic safety but face severe solid–solid interfacial challenges. This review reveals the three core hurdles—anode passivation, cathode contact loss, and electrolyte grain boundary resistance and discusses strategies including artificial interphases, alloying, and composite ...

Chelation Drives Surface Substitution in Hybrid‐MXenes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We demonstrate ethylenediamine‐derived bidentate binding on Ti3C2 by controlled deprotonation of ─NH2 groups during reaction with Ti3C2Br2. XRD, XPS, ssNMR, STEM, DFT, and INS confirm the bidentate coordination and the superior stability of chelating modes, while AIMD reveals proton transfer and new surface imine–Ti bonding mode.

Circulating senescence-associated secretory phenotype factors across the stages of type 1 diabetes in a cross-sectional cohort

open access: yesScientific Reports
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) results from a chronic autoimmune disease that leads to pancreatic beta cell death and states of dysfunction such as senescence. Cellular senescence is a programmed stress response involving cell cycle arrest, apoptosis resistance ...

Thermally Assisted Photocatalytic Dehydrogenation of Methanol in Continuous Steady‐State Operation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermally assisted photocatalytic methanol dehydrogenation on Pt/TiO2 enables formaldehyde and hydrogen production far beyond thermodynamic limits. Continuous operation delivers up to 95% selectivity over 70 h, and oxygen microdosing strongly boosts conversion by regenerating surface oxygen sites.
