Research on the Pore Characteristics of Dredger Fill By Preloading

open access: yesLecture Notes in Civil Engineering, 2023
AbstractThis study investigated the characteristics of dredger fill after preloading at the DaLian. Granulometric composition test and X-ray diffraction were employed to determine the composition of dredger fill. Mercury intrusion porosimetry was combined to determine the related features of the pore.

Study on Consolidation Test for Fresh Soft Dredger Fill

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
The consolidation test was performed to samples of fresh soft dredger fill with heights of 2cm, 3cm and 4cm with full-automatic pneumatic consolidometer. The results show that: the soil sample deforms greatly during the consolidation with significant decrease in water content and small consolidation coefficient.

A Study on the Microstructure Characteristics and Precipitation Law of Dredger Fill

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
In the effect of the external environment, the characteristics of the microscopic deformation in the soil may be induced by the microstructures such as the interaction of soil particles and interaction between soil particle and void. The microstructures have great influence on the engineering properties of soil.

Numerical Simulation of Dynamic Compaction at Dredger Fill Silty

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Current practice of Dynamic compaction (D.C) depends mainly on field trials, past experience, and empirical equations based on reported records. In this paper, a numerical model is used to study the effectiveness of supplemental drains on densification of saturated dredger fill silty deposits during D.C.

Time Effect of the Pile Bearing Capacity in Dredger Fill

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
The dissipating of pore water pressure caused by pile sinking is one of the main factors resulting in time effect of ultimate bearing capacity of pile. The pore water pressure is monitored at each observing point during pile sinking and after that. With the pore pressure plan embedded in advance, by means of spot test in the process of pile sinking ...
