Graph-based algorithms have gained significant interest in several application domains. Solutions addressing the computational efficiency of such algorithms have mostly relied on many-core architectures. Cleverly laying out input graphs in storage, by placing adjacent vertices in a same storage unit (memory bank or cache unit), enables fast access ...

Dredging and Dredging Appliances
Nature, 1927DREDGERS are an extemely varied, albeit highly specialised, type of vessel, interesting alike to the naval architect, the engineer, and the shipbuilder. Literature on the subject of dredger design is, however, far from voluminous and, indeed, is remarkable mare for its paucity than for its fullness.

Channel Dredging, Dredge Spoil Migration and Downdrift
New Zealand Geographer, 1994ABSTRACTA major dredging programme to deepen the shipping channels at the Port of Tauranga has seen some 5 million m3 of mainly sandy sediment dredged from the shipping channels and dumped on the adjacent inner shelf. An Environmental Impact Assessment has identified major concerns and consent granting authorities have proposed a monitoring programme.
