Les rgues de estos drenes contienen una salinidad de 5,000 p.p.m., asi como residuos de fertilizentes, plaguicidas, insecticides, etc.

Cambio Climático y Desarrollo Sostenible en América Latina
Este estudio evalúa la calidad del agua en los drenes agrícolas de la cuenca del río Culiacán mediante índices como el índice integral de calidad del agua (ICIA), el índice de calidad del agua (ICA) y el índice de estado trófico (IET). Los resultados revelan los problemas ambientales causados por las actividades antropogénicas en la agricultura.
