Courts as an arena of societal change? The Italian Constitutional Court's self‐restraint facing the legislator's uncertain discretion in seabed mining: A concrete counter‐example

open access: yesEuropean Law Journal, Volume 29, Issue 3-6, Page 326-339, May-November 2023., 2023

Intercontinental shipping in the European Union emissions trading system: A ‘fifty–fifty’ alignment with the law of the sea and international climate law?

open access: yesReview of European, Comparative &International Environmental Law, Volume 32, Issue 1, Page 29-43, April 2023., 2023
Abstract The European Commission has proposed to extend the European Union (EU) emissions trading system to 50% of the carbon dioxide emissions from intercontinental maritime voyages that start or end at European ports. Yet, it remains unclear why this ‘fifty–fifty’ scope was selected and whether it is compatible with international law.

Communication in Persons with Acquired Speech Impairment: The Role of Family as Language Brokers

open access: yesJournal of Linguistic Anthropology, Volume 32, Issue 1, Page 161-181, May 2022., 2022
More than 170 million people in the world have some kind of speech impairment. The lack of professional interpreters in this domain causes their families to need to learn new communicative strategies to interact with them and assist them as interpreters. The aim of this paper is to analyze the role of these non‐professional interpreters for adults with

One‐Pot Synthesis of Customized Metal–Phenolic‐Network‐Coated AIE Dots for In Vivo Bioimaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 9, Issue 11, April 14, 2022., 2022
A facile strategy is proposed to combine the aggregate‐state emission of aggregation‐induced emission luminogens and the versatility of tannic acid/metal ion complexes within a single nanoparticle via one‐pot synthesis. The obtained nanoparticles are successfully used to perform in vivo dual‐modality imaging and fluorescence‐guided visualization of ...

Simulation Inference of Plasma Parameters From Langmuir Probe Measurements

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2021., 2021
Abstract A novel approach is presented to infer plasma parameters from Langmuir probe measurements. Three‐dimensional kinetic simulations capable of accounting for multiple physical processes and realistic measurement conditions, are used to construct synthetic data sets, or solution libraries, consisting of computed probe collected currents, with ...

TiO2 Nanoparticles Decorated Graphene Nanoribbons for Voltammetric Determination of an Anti‐HIV Drug Nevirapine

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
In the present study, electrochemical behavior of nevirapine on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with TiO2 nanoparticles decorated graphene nanoribbons was investigated. Characterization of different components used for modifications was achieved using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
