A Scalable, Durable, Fire‐Safe All‐Day Passive Radiative Cooling Coating for Sustainable Buildings
This study reports a scalable, durable coating that combines a fire‑retardant copolymer adhesive, hollow glass microspheres, and boron oxide to achieve passive radiative cooling with over 94% solar reflectance and >95% mid‑infrared emissivity. The coating maintains performance after UV and rain exposure and exhibits UL‑94 V‑0 fire resistance, enabling ...

Migration of a Broken Drill Bit After Acetabular Fracture Fixation. A Case Report [PDF]
Breakage of the drill bit is common in orthopaedic procedures, but migration of the broken drill bit is rarely reported. We report a case of migration of a broken drill bit five years after acetabular fracture fixation.

Drill bit design assures clean holes in laminated materials [PDF]
Drill bit eliminates delamination when drilling laminated material. It cuts or shaves the material as it progresses through it. The bit acts to hold down the material during drilling to prevent tearing or ripping and produces a clean, smooth and defect ...

Drill pipe threaded nipple connection design development [PDF]
The paper presents the analysis of the behavior of the drill pipe nipple connection under the additional load generated by power pulses. The strain wave propagation through the nipple thread connection of drill pipes to the bottomhole is studied in this ...

Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

Single Solid‐State Ion Channels as Potentiometric Nanosensors
Single gold nanopores functionalized with mixed self‐assembled monolayers act as solid‐state ion channels for direct, selective potentiometric sensing of inorganic ions (Ag⁺). The design overcomes key miniaturization barriers of conventional ion‐selective electrodes by combining low resistivity with suppressed loss of active components, enabling robust

Prediction Model of Drilling Performance for Percussive Rock Drilling Tool
This study suggests a method for quantitatively estimating the drilling performance of the down-the-hole (DTH) hammer during percussive drilling of rock surfaces. A pneumatic dynamic model of the DTH hammer was developed that considers the mass flow rate
