Donor–Acceptor Covalent Organic Framework Enables Ambipolar Charge Storage in Aluminum‐Ion Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A donor–acceptor covalent organic framework is designed as an ambipolar cathode for aluminum‐ion energy storage. The crystalline, microporous architecture enables intrinsic charge transport without conductive additives. Multi‐electron redox activity at donor and acceptor sites supports high capacity, excellent stability, and efficient reversible ...

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.

Drilling Riser Integrity Assurance for Deepwater Floating Drilling

open access: yesOffshore Technology Conference, 2017
Abstract Objectives/Scope Historically, deepwater drilling riser challenges were always seen to be related to riser weight and metocean stresses. Consideration of the riser as a pressure vessel has been limited to production riser applications or smaller high pressure risers used for floating surface ...

Drilling Riser Stress Measurements

open access: yesJournal of Engineering for Industry, 1971
Field measurements of drilling riser stresses during drilling operations have been made. The field-measured stresses are in agreement with those predicted by EPR’s pseudodynamic riser stress analysis computer program. The agreement between computed and measured values for both time-average stress and stress variations substantiates the validity of the ...

Well Control When Drilling With a Partly-Evacuated Marine Drilling Riser

open access: yesIADC/SPE Managed Pressure Drilling and Underbalanced Operations Conference & Exhibition, 2011
Abstract The Low Riser Return System (LRRS) is a method used for managing wellbore pressure during offshore drilling operations by adjusting the mud level in the marine riser by returning mud and cuttings to surface via a subsea pump in a separate conduit.
