Drimane Homochiral Semisynthesis: Pereniporin a,9-EPI-Warburganal and C-9 Nitrogenated Drimanes

Natural Product Letters, 1998
Abstract Starting with 12-acetoxy-7,9(11)-drimadiene, prepared from methyl zamoranate, a major Halimium viscosum component, pereniporin A, 9-epi-warburganal and a precursor of C-9 nitrogenated drimanes were synthesized.

Cytotoxic Drimane Sesquiterpenoids Isolated from Perenniporia maackiae

Journal of Natural Products, 2018
A chemical investigation of a basidiomycetes fungus, Perenniporia maackiae, led to the discovery of 12 drimane sesquiterpenoids, including seven new constituents (1-7). The elucidation of the structures was performed via interpreting extensive spectroscopic methods, including ECD calculations.

Synthesis of biologically active drimanes from (−)-sclareol

Tetrahedron Letters, 1994
Abstract The enantiospecific synthesis of drimenyl acetate (8), a key intermediate in the synthesis of biologically active drimanes, and albicanyl acetate (14), potent fish antifeedant, from sclareol (1), are described. Also a short and efficient synthesis of polygodial (22), from albicanyl acetate (14), is shown.

9-Deoxy drimane sesquiterpenes from Canella winterana

Phytochemistry, 1990
Abstract The stem bark of Canella winterana collected in Florida yielded three new drimane sesquiterpenes. Their structures were elucidated from their spectral data as: 9-deoxymuzigadial, 9-deoxyisomuzigadial and 3β-acetoxypolygodial. The first two compounds, which are double bond isomers, could only be separated from each other on silver nitrate ...

ChemInform Abstract: Transformation of Labdanes into Drimanes: Obtention of 11,12‐Diacetoxy‐7‐drimene, Precursor of Biologically Active Drimanes.

ChemInform, 1988
AbstractUnder the conditions shown in the scheme the ester (I), isolated from Halimium viscosum, can be successfully transformed to the title compound (VII) which is obtained together with its Δ8‐isomer (18%).

Anti-inflammatory drimane sesquiterpene lactones from an Aspergillus species

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2014
IFN-γ inducible protein 10 (IP-10, CXCL10) is a 10 kDa chemokine, which is secreted from various cell types after exposure to pro-inflammatory stimuli. This chemokine is a ligand for the CXCR3 receptor and regulates immune responses by activating and recruiting leukocytes such as T cells, eosinophils, monocytes, and NK cells to sites of inflammation ...

Drimane Sesquiterpenoids from the Aspergillus oryzae QXPC‐4

Chemistry & Biodiversity, 2015
AbstractThree new drimane sesquiterpenoids, astellolides C–E (1–3, resp.), four new drimane sesquiterpenoid p‐hydroxybenzoates, astellolides F–I (4–7, resp.), together with two known compounds astellolides A and B (8 and 9, resp.), have been isolated from the liquid culture of Aspergillus oryzae (strain No. QXPC‐4). Their structures were established by
