A Periosteum‐Inspired Janus Piezoelectric Scaffold Using Bioenergetic‐Driven H‐Type Vascularization for Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A periosteum‐inspired Janus piezoelectric scaffold converts micromechanical forces into electrical signals and synergizes with controlled resveratrol release. This dual action reprograms endothelial metabolism, drives H‑type vessel formation, and restores bone–vessel coupling in diabetic bone defects.

Response of sweet potato (cv. Georgia Jet) to water limitation under drip and sprinkler irrigation

open access: yesScientia Horticulturae
Sweet potato is moderately tolerant to water stress, but irrigation can stabilize and increase production potential. This study evaluated sweet potato yield as affected by irrigation quantity and frequency, comparing drip and sprinkler systems under ...

Subsurface drip irrigation: status of the technology in 2010

open access: yes, 2012
Subsurface drip irrigation (SDI), although a much smaller fraction of the microirrigated land area than surface drip irrigation, is growing at a much faster rate and is the subject of considerable research and educational efforts in the U.S. This article

Improved Direct Ink Writing of Liquid Metal Foams via Liquid Additives

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The ability to pattern liquid metal is useful for making soft electrical and thermal devices. Dispensing liquid metal from a nozzle naturally results in the formation of spheroidal droplets, making direct‐write printing challenging. Liquid metal foams containing pockets of air can extrude as filaments, albeit inconsistently.

Performance and water usage of selected vegetables grown with different irrigation systems under house-type structures

open access: yesAnnals of Tropical Research, 2017
Irrigation for vegetables grown under protected cropping is very important for optimum production. Likewise, choosing an efficient method of irrigation can save water and labour.

Electric Field‐Induced Hole‐ and Electron‐Type Flat Bands in Twisted Double Bilayer Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The electronic structure of twisted double bilayer graphene is visualized using angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy with micrometer spatial resolution at twists of 3.1∘$^\circ$ and 6.0∘$^\circ$ as a function of gate voltage. Tunable hybridization effects and flat band formation occurs between valence and conduction band states due to a finite ...

Drip Shield Emplacement Gantry Concept [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
This design analysis has shown that, on a conceptual level, the emplacement of drip shields is feasible with current technology and equipment. A plan for drip shield emplacement was presented using a Drip Shield Transporter, a Drip Shield Emplacement ...

Dry‑Contact Trimming for All‑Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells via Solid‑Solution Homogenization

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Narrow‐bandgap Sn–Pb perovskites are promising bottom absorbers for all‐perovskite tandems but suffer from Sn‐rich surfaces and depth‐dependent lattice/compositional inhomogeneity. Layered‐perovskite‐assisted dry‐contact trimming removes Sn‐rich surface species and reconfigures the Sn–Pb absorber, enabling efficient charge collection, reduced voltage ...
