Driver irritation and aggressive behaviour

Accident Analysis & Prevention, 2008
A sample of 98 drivers responded to a Swedish version of the UK Driving Anger Scale [UK DAS; [Lajunen, T., Parker, D., Stradling, S.G., 1998. Dimensions of driver anger, aggressive and highway code violations and their mediation by safety orientation in UK drivers. Transport. Res. Part F 1, 107-121]. The results indicated that the Swedish version, like

Real Time Estimation of Drivers' Behaviour

2015 IEEE 18th International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2015
The increasing market penetration of in-vehicle sensor technology, e.g., cameras and lidars, is likely to provide more and more insights on drivers' behaviours. Real time knowledge of drivers' behaviour can be useful to a wide range of applications, such as driving assistance in traffic situations identified as critical, detection of tiredness levels ...

Drivers of Managerial Behaviour

2019
The main purpose of this chapter is to consider the role and outline the drivers of managers’ behaviour for organizations. First, the chapter presents some possible approaches to empirically examining and measuring these drivers, and reveals a promising concept for values-culture-ethics-norms drivers. Studies have revealed fundamental behaviour drivers

Influence of in-vehicle displays on driver behaviour

Adjunct Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Automotive User Interfaces and Interactive Vehicular Applications, 2015
In-Vehicle Displays (IVDs) have the potential to reduce fuel consumption rates (FCR), thus reducing emissions from in-use vehicles. This project is one of the first to simultaneously explore the impact of IVDs and driver training on both fuel consumption and driver behaviour in Canada.

Identification of driver car-following behaviour

2005 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2005
A procedure is developed to identify the driver frequency response functions (FRF) of a serial multi-loop car-following model. It is shown that with a single forcing function both the inner-loop and outer-loop FRF's can be identified, although indirectly.

Power wheelchair driver behaviour modelling

2010 7th International Multi- Conference on Systems, Signals and Devices, 2010
Assisting persons in their vehicle driving task is essential for drivers comfort and security. Vehicle Driver behaviour modelling is of main interest in order to provide assistive control. Many research teams have addressed this question. This is even more important in the case of handicapped persons. However, work in this domain is very scarce.

Validation of the Driver Behaviour Questionnaire in a representative sample of drivers in Australia

Accident Analysis & Prevention, 2016
The Driver Behaviour Questionnaire (DBQ) is a widely used measure of driving behaviours that may increase a driver's risk of crash involvement. However, there are several different versions of the DBQ varying in terms of number of items and factor structure.

Towards a general theory of driver behaviour

Accident Analysis & Prevention, 2005
Taylor [Taylor, D.H., 1964. Drivers' galvanic skin response and the risk of accident. Ergonomics 7, 439-451] argued that drivers attempt to maintain a constant level of anxiety when driving which Wilde [Wilde, G.J.S., 1982. The theory of risk homeostasis: implications for safety and health. Risk Anal. 2, 209-225] interpreted to be coupled to subjective
