Fatigue Monitoring for Drivers in Advanced Driver-Assistance System

2020
The detection of person fatigue is one of the important tasks to detect drowsiness in the domain of image processing. Though lots of work has been carried out in this regard, there is a void of work shows the exact correctness. In this chapter, the main objective is to present an efficient approach that is a combination of both eye state detection and ...

Driver Inattention Monitoring System: A Review

2019 International Conference on Innovative Trends and Advances in Engineering and Technology (ICITAET), 2019
In latest years driver’s inattention is a prime cause of traffic accidents. Driver in-attentiveness is categorized as: 1) distraction 2) drowsiness. Due to this driver’s perception level and decision making capability is decreased and hence control over vehicle of driver goes off.

An Effective Driver Fatigue Monitoring System

2010 International Conference on Machine Vision and Human-machine Interface, 2010
This paper proposes an effective driver fatigue monitoring system. A Haar-like based cascaded AdaBoost classifier is trained for eye region localization from the input drive face video; and then lattice degree of nearness based on Fourier descriptor is utilized for eye states identification; finally, PERCLOS is calculated for fatigue detection.

Driver Distraction Monitoring and Alerting System

2019 1st International Conference on Advances in Information Technology (ICAIT), 2019
Distraction while driving is one of the major causes of road mishaps. Driving a vehicle requires unwavered attention of driver. Moreover, activities which require the driver to take his eyes off the road for an extended period can lead to fatal accidents. The driver should focus on the road ahead all the time.

Low cost driver monitoring and warning system development

2009 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, 2009
Most studies so far on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems have assumed perfect knowledge of driving conditions, driver intents which require expensive sensor suite, data communication and processing. In this paper, we study a fairly restrictive driver assistance system supporting “blind spot”, “lane departure” detection and “safe following distance ...

Road and Driver Monitoring System

2014
In this work we present a driver and road monitoring system capable of scaling to the number of drivers in any region without incurring the high costs of implementation, thus allowing for safer driving conditions and shorter accident response times. We propose the Smartphone Road Monitoring (SRoM) system that is capable of sensing road artifacts such ...
