Driving Pattern Recognition for Adaptive Hybrid Vehicle Control

SAE International Journal of Alternative Powertrains, 2012
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The vehicle driving cycles affect the performance of a hybrid vehicle control strategy, as a result, the overall performance of the vehicle, such as fuel consumption and emission. By identifying the driving cycles of a vehicle, the control system is able to dynamically change the

Real-time recognition of large-scale driving patterns

ITSC 2001. 2001 IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8585), 2002
This work has explored the possibilities of real-time, automatic, recognition of large-scale driving situations. Employing a statistical pattern recognition framework, implemented by means of feedforward neural networks, models were developed for recognising, from vehicle control data, four classes of driving situations: highway, main road, suburban ...

A Novel Driving Pattern Recognition and Status Monitoring System

2006
This paper describes a novel driving pattern recognition and status monitoring system based on the orientation information. Two fixed cameras are used to capture the driver's image and the front-road image. The driver's sight line and the driving lane path are found from these 2 captured images and are mapped into a global coordinate.

Driving Pattern Recognition System Using Smartphone sensor stream

open access: yesJournal of the Korea Industrial Information Systems Research, 2012
The database for driving patterns can be utilized in various system such as automatic driving system, driver safety system, and it can be helpful to monitor driving style. Therefore, we propose a driving pattern recognition system in which the sensor streams from a smartphone are recorded and used for recognizing driving events.

Experimental System to Support Real-Time Driving Pattern Recognition

2008
This work proposes an advanced driving information system that, using the acceleration signature provided by low cost sensors and a GPS receiver, infers information on the driving behaviour. The proposed system uses pattern matching to identify and classify driving styles. Sensor data are quantified in terms of fuzzy concepts on the driving style.

Serum amyloid A is a soluble pattern recognition receptor that drives type 2 immunity

Nature Immunology, 2020
The molecular basis for the propensity of a small number of environmental proteins to provoke allergic responses is largely unknown. Herein, we report that mite group 13 allergens of the fatty acid-binding protein (FABP) family are sensed by an evolutionarily conserved acute-phase protein, serum amyloid A1 (SAA1), that promotes pulmonary type 2 ...

Three Pattern Recognition Approaches to the Reduction of Vehicle Driving Cycles

ASME 2020 Internal Combustion Engine Division Fall Technical Conference, 2020
Abstract Vehicle type approval drive cycles have become a mainstay for benchmarking performance of engines in the development cycle. However, they are typically long and costly to test, with questions of repeatability and real-world relevance. With the move to Real Driving Emission (RDE) style testing, complete foreknowledge of the cycle
