Drugs of Abuse, Driving and Traffic Safety

Current Drug Abuse Reviewse, 2010
Roadside studies indicate that 1-15% of drivers drive under the influence of one or more drugs of abuse. After drug use, drivers are more often culpable for an accident than non-users. Information on drugs and traffic safety comes from roadside studies, epidemiological research, experimental studies on driving-related skills, and on-the-road driving ...

Safety Analysis for Highly Automated Driving

2018 IEEE International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering Workshops (ISSREW), 2018
Highly automated driving affords a fail-operational system and therefore more effort regarding functional safety. The engineering standard for vehicles, ISO 26262 does not give an applicable approach for a safety argumentation in this context and has its limitations regarding fail-operational systems.

Antihistamines and driving safety.

Cutis, 1989
The results of two placebo-controlled driving performance studies confirm laboratory data showing that the nonsedating antihistamine terfenadine does not influence the driving performance of users. The amplitude of vehicle weaving calculated for drivers who received this agent did not differ from control values.
