Research on micro mechanism of water-based disperse ink and optimization of driving waveform for inkjet ink

, 2020
In this paper, we use density functional theory (DFT) to optimize and calculate the geometries and vibration frequencies of H2O, EG (ethylene glycol) or H2O/EG in the ink (B3LYP/6-311++G** basis set, self-consistent reaction field theory (SCRF) and PCM ...

Programmed driving waveforms for quick-response liquid powder displays

IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 2010
A low optical contrast ratio is the major drawback of quick-response liquid powder displays (QRLPDs). In this paper, the electro-optical response of the QRLPD is analyzed, and better optical contrast is found to be obtained if the display is driven by pulse number modulation (PNM). However, PNM driving requires a longer driving duration.

Effect of driving waveform on size and velocity of generated droplets of nanosilver ink (Smartink)

, 2020
The quality of generated droplets in direct-write inkjet printing strongly depends on the shape of waveform voltages that control the piezoelectric actuators of the inkjet print head.

Modeling of a linear ion trap with driving rectangular waveforms

Journal of Mass Spectrometry
AbstractWe consider the operation of a digital linear ion trap with resonant radial ejection. A sequence of rectangular voltage pulses with a dipole resonance signal is applied to the trap electrodes. The periodic waveform is piecewise constant, has zero mean, and is determined by an asymmetry parameter : one value is taken on interval and another on ,

Quality assessment of electrical drives with strongly deformed supply waveform

Measurement, 2001
In the characterization of electrical drives it is necessary to carry out power measurement on highly distorted signals with low uncertainty and in some cases on-line; this involves the adoption of suitable test station and adequate measurement techniques.

Bipolar Pulse-Drive Electronics for a Josephson Arbitrary Waveform Synthesizer

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2008
A Josephson arbitrary waveform synthesizer (JAWS) has been developed in order to generate quantum-based ac voltage signals. The key component of this JAWS is a modified commercial 30-Gb/s pattern generator that can generate ternary patterns (containing the values 1, 0, and 1, resulting in bipolar pulses).

The improvement of the driving waveform for high-speed addressing

Displays, 2008
Abstract A high-speed driving technology is currently one of the most observed technologies in the driving AC-PDP. This is a required technology that allows a high image quality. In this paper, we will propose the new driving waveform which has varied V scan voltage in the same sub-field for the high-speed driving. Therefore, we were obtained 39.5

Reducing ring-down time of pMUTs with phase shift of driving waveform

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2018
This paper proposes a method to reduce ring-down time for piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers (pMUTs) through phase shift. The proposed driving form can effectively improve the effective emission time to transmitting time (Tx time) ratio ...

Waveform Bounding and Combination Techniques for Direct Drive Testing

1994
Abstract : This paper presents various methods to combine a set of measured test signals into a composite signal. The composite signal represents the set of measured test signals by retaining the significant attributes of the original set of measured test data.
