Simulations of airborne collisions between drones and an aircraft windshield

Aerospace Science and Technology, 2020
Abstract Drones are a considerable thread to the safe operation of transport aircraft with the wide application and development trend of drones. The airborne collision safety between the windshield of transport aircraft and the five light unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) under various possible flight conditions is mainly studied in this paper.

Drone Aircraft

The Journal of the Royal Aeronautical Society, 1959
It is necessary to start this paper with a disclaimer. Neither the author nor his firm have been concerned with the development of Drone aircraft for more than a few years. Others in the field have more, certainly longer, experience; the choice of the present author is probably because he has been associated with the development of the most ambitious ...

Ethical issues with use of Drone aircraft

2014 IEEE International Symposium on Ethics in Science, Technology and Engineering, 2014
This analysis is aimed at identifying the ethical issues related to a variety of types of Drone aircraft as they are currently deployed in recreational, civilian/commercial and military arenas. A series of examples will be examined in order to attempt to identify the ethical problems that we confront recreational, civilian/commercial and military uses ...

Design and Development of an Aircraft Type Multi-functional Autonomous Drone

2020 IEEE Region 10 Symposium (TENSYMP), 2020
This paper demonstrates the design and development of an autonomous aircraft type drone for dynamic applications including surveillance, disaster management, and military applications, especially, target practice of missiles. The drone is capable of flying at a maximum speed of 90 kilometer/hour, where the maximum altitude is approximately 1 kilometer.

An Automatic System for the Control of Multiple Drone Aircraft

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1969
A conceptual system is proposed and described for the control of a multiplicity of drone aircraft. Each target (drone) aircraft is controlled, during a given mission, over a separate preprogrammed path comprised of straight line and circular arc segments. Full control of each target's altitude, plan position, and velocity is available.

Design and analysis of roto – Cylindrical wing for a drone aircraft

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2020
Abstract Drone is an aircraft, which is specially designed without the aid of pilots. Drones are used in many areas such as surveillance, military and agricultural applications. The conventionally used drone aircrafts have been analyzed and some drawbacks have been found out in taking off as it requires long take off distance.
