Specific Position of Halogen in Crystalline TADF Scintillators Enables Efficient Triplet Harvesting Through Vibrational Modulation of Spin–Orbit Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Specific ortho‐halogenation transforms crystalline TADF emitters into efficient organic scintillators. Fluorine reduces the effective singlet–triplet separation, while chlorine combines near‐degenerate excited states with vibrational modulation of spin–orbit coupling.

Electrolyte Design for Fast‐Charging Lithium‐Based Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A decade of progress in fast‐charging electrolytes for lithium batteries is reviewed. Electrolyte design strategies spanning solvents, salts, additives, and advanced systems, such as localized high‐concentration electrolytes (LHCEs), are summarized. Advanced diagnostic tools for lithium plating and interphase chemistry are discussed, with perspectives ...

Mechanically Assisted Magnetic Actuation in Ceramic‐Based Microscrolls for Fast and Durable Soft Robotic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ceramic‐based V2O5/Fe3O4 hybrid films are shaped into butterfly‐proboscis‐inspired microscroll actuators. Magnetic triggering initiates unrolling, while geometry‐programmed elastic strain energy drives rapid recoil, enabling fast, reversible, durable, and load‐bearing actuation under near‐field magnetic stimulation.

Atomic‐Scale Detection of Néel Vector Switching in the Single‐Layer A‐Type Antiferromagnet Cr2S3‐2D

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Interfacial electron donation from graphene redistributes charge within single‐layer Cr2S3‐2D, preferentially accumulating at the lower Cr/S plane. The resulting minute magnetic imbalance lifts the equivalence of the two magnetic sublayers, enabling atomic‐resolution identification and field‐induced control of Néel‐vector states in a two‐dimensional A ...

Electropolymerized Aptasensor for Femtogram‐Level Cytokine Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electropolymerization of 3‐amino‐ʟ‐tyrosine creates ultrathin, smooth, and chemically robust pALT nanofilms with accessible carboxyl functionalities for direct aptamer immobilization. Integrated with fiber‐optic SPR and OECT platforms, these interfaces enable IL‐6 detection down to 100 fg mL−1 and provide a versatile route to bioelectronic sensing ...

Radiation‐Matter Interaction in Chemical Vapor Deposition‐Grown Two‐Dimensional Tungsten Disulfide

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Gamma irradiation tunes the magnetic properties of CVD‐grown WS2 material. Moderate irradiation doses induce low‐temperature ferromagnetic‐like behavior, whereas higher doses suppress the magnetic response because of increased defect formation. These findings provide insight into defect‐mediated magnetism in 2D TMDs and could be relevant to future ...

Conjugated Metal‐Organic Frameworks on Laser‐Induced‐Graphene Scaffold Enable Picomolar Sensitivity in Electrical Biosensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A controlled layer‐by‐layer growth process integrates conjugated metal‐organic framework thin films onto a hierarchical 3D laser‐induced graphene scaffold. When incorporated into an extended‐gate field‐effect transistor configuration, this synergistic hybrid platform achieves robust aptamer immobilization, driving highly selective, picomolar‐level ...

Redox‐Confined Interfacial Polymerization Enables Mechanically Robust and Self‐Adhesive Nanofilms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Redox‐confined polymerization of a simple thiol monomer at a water‐organic interface generates robust freestanding films with nanoscale thickness. The resulting disulfide‐crosslinked nanofilms combine high stiffness with intrinsic adhesion to soft substrates, enabling conformal contact with artificial skin without additional functionalization.

Morphological Characterization of Spherulites in Silk‐Polycaprolactone Mixtures: Implications for Textured Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Blending silk fibroin with polycaprolactone alters crystalline organization and surface morphology. Low fibroin levels promote ring‐banded spherulites, while higher contents generate porous, pit‐like textures, though overall crystallinity remains unchanged. Solvent evaporation further modulates surface patterns.
