Improved Droop Control with Washout Filter [PDF]

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
In this paper, a droop washout filter controller (DWC), composed of a conventional droop controller and a washout filter controller, is proposed. The droop controller is used to ensure the “plug-and-play” capability, and the droop gain is set small. The washout filter is introduced to compensate the active power dynamic performance (APDP).

An Improved Power-Sharing Method for a Multi-Terminal HVDC Transmission System Based on Adaptive Voltage Droop Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The prerequisite for the normal operation of a flexible high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system is the maintenance of the stability of the direct current (DC)-side voltage, and droop control has a good dynamic regulation capability.

An Improved Droop Control Strategy for Low-Voltage Microgrids Based on Distributed Secondary Power Optimization Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
To achieve accurate reactive power sharing and voltage frequency and amplitude restoration in low-voltage microgrids, a control strategy combining an improved droop control with distributed secondary power optimization control is proposed. The active and

Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.

Rheumatologic Manifestations of Patients With Type B Insulin Resistance

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective The objectives of this study were to identify laboratory and clinical features associated with type B insulin resistance (TBIR), a rare condition caused by autoantibodies that inhibit the insulin receptor, most frequently occurring in the setting of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and to increase awareness of this rare, life‐threatening ...

Interaction between the voltage‐droop and the frequency‐droop control for multi‐terminal HVDC systems [PDF]

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2015
Multi‐terminal DC systems must provide a high level of reliability and may have to support the interconnected AC grids. This can be achieved by providing AC/DC converters with a dual controller combining both the voltage‐droop and the frequency‐droop control techniques.

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting
