Mesoporous Silicon with Capacity‐Limited Lithiation: A Strategy for Stable High‐Capacity Lithium‐Ion Anodes

Pairing mesoporous silicon with capacity‐limited lithiation increases stability in high‐Si composite anodes. Across four lithiation degrees, porous Si suppresses crystalline Li15Si4 formation, lowers polarization, and exhibits far less irreversible thickening than bulk micro‐Si particles, as confirmed by scanning electron microscopy thickness analysis.
