Characteristics of Rain-Induced Attenuation over Signal Links at Frequency Ranges of 25 and 38 GHz Observed in Beijing

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Wireless communication has become a very important part of our lives, and it is well known that meteorological factors affect the quality of communication links, especially at higher frequencies because the physical dimensions of raindrops, hail stones ...

Joint Explainability and Sensitivity-Aware Federated Deep Learning for Transparent 6G RAN Slicing [PDF]

open access: yesICC 2023 - IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2023
In recent years, wireless networks are evolving complex, which upsurges the use of zero-touch artificial intelligence (AI)-driven network automation within the telecommunication industry. In particular, network slicing, the most promising technology beyond 5G, would embrace AI models to manage the complex communication network.

THE ATS-1 COMMUNICATIONS MODEL: QUASI-MASS AUDIO NETWORKS FOR EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SERVICE

open access: yesPrometheus, 1984
The ATS-1 satellite is used for social service audioconference networks in the Pacific Islands. Channel limitations restrict the communication efficiency of these networks, but not so badly as to drop them below accepted standards for telecommunication ...

Designing a Novel High-Performance FBG-OADM Based on Finite Element and Eigenmode Expansion Methods

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
This study designed a novel high-performance fiber Bragg grating (FBG) optical add/drop multiplexers (OADMs) by referring to current numerical simulation methods. The proposed FBG-OADM comprises two single-mode fibers placed side by side.

Plasmonic Filter and Demultiplexer Based on Square Ring Resonator

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
A ring resonator is a basic component of traditional photonic integrated circuits (PIC), which has been, however, found difficult to be applied efficiently in high-compact plasmonic metal-insulator-metal (MIM) systems.

Impact of mobile subscribers dual stack IPv4/IPv6 deployment

open access: yesCommunications in Science and Technology, 2018
The use of CGNAT at PT. ZYX as a mobile telecommunication service provider cannot be relied as the solution to solve addressing needs against subscriber growth in future technology. Meanwhile, native IPv6 deployment is currently application-driven, which

Aggregating Quantum Networks [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. A 102, 052613 (2020), 2020
Quantum networking allows the transmission of information in ways unavailable in the classical world. Single packets of information can now be split and transmitted in a coherent way over different routes. This aggregation allows information to be transmitted in a fault tolerant way between different parts of the quantum network (or the future internet)

Optimization of Quality of Experience for Video Traffic [PDF]

open access: yes22nd International Conference on Telecommunications (ICT), pp. 408-412, 2015, 2020
The rapid shift toward video on-demand and real time information systems has affected mobile as well as wired networks. The research community has placed a strong focus on optimizing the Quality of Experience (QoE) of video traffic, mainly because video is popular among Internet users.

Cascaded multiplexed optical link on a telecommunication network for frequency dissemination [PDF]

open access: yesOpt.Express 18:16849,2010, 2010
We demonstrate a cascaded optical link for ultrastable frequency dissemination comprised of two compensated links of 150 km and a repeater station. Each link includes 114 km of Internet fiber simultaneously carrying data traffic through a dense wavelength division multiplexing technology, and passes through two routing centers of the telecommunication ...

A New Design Methodology For Enhancing The Transient Loading Of Low Drop-out Regulators (LDRs)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications, 2019
A new simple design methodology which makes LDR output nearly insensitive to jumps of the load current for long times is proposed. This methodology is tested for more than 104 seconds. Our procedure leans on cross coupling of the time second derivative of the LDR power transistor gate and drain voltages along with their currents.
