Deposition pattern of drying droplets
Communications in Theoretical Physics, 2021Abstract The drying of liquid droplets is a common daily life phenomenon that has long held a special interest in scientific research. When the droplet includes nonvolatile solutes, the evaporation of the solvent induces rich deposition patterns of solutes on the substrate.

Monosize droplet deposition as a means to investigate droplet behavior during spray deposition
Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B, 2000A Rayleigh atomization technique is employed to produce streams of evenly spaced, monosized droplets of molten metal. We study the effects of variations in selected process parameters upon the droplet formation mechanism and the morphology and microstructure of resulting deposits.

Deposition pattern of interacting droplets
Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2015A colloid droplet having pinned contact line forms a ring pattern after drying. The ring pattern of a single droplet shows uniform deposit along the contact line. When two droplets dry adjacent to each other, the deposition pattern is influenced by the presence of the neighboring droplet. The deposition pattern at the nearest region of the two droplets

Lung Deposition of Droplet Aerosols in Monkeys
Inhalation Toxicology, 2008Nonhuman primates are often the animal models of choice to study the infectivity and therapy of inhaled infectious agents. Most animal models for inhaled infectious diseases use aerosol/droplets generated by an atomization technique such as a Collison nebulizer that produces particles in the size range of 1 to 3 microm in diameter.

Instability Deposit Patterns in an Evaporating Droplet
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2014The characteristics of several patterns left after the evaporation of a particle-laden liquid droplet are investigated by using a coarse-grained lattice model. The model includes both evaporative convection and the Brownian motion of weakly interacting particles.

Droplet-based photoresist deposition
Applied Physics Letters, 2006Photoresist droplets are ejected onto a wafer surface by an acoustic two-dimensional micromachined ejector array. The spread of single droplets on a silicon wafer surface at varying droplet speeds is studied. Series of photoresist droplets are printed periodically drop on demand on a silicon wafer surface and profiles of a single droplet and two ...

Abstract Micro-void and cold lap are the most common defects of 3D components in aluminum alloy droplet deposition manufacture, which have been found to be associated with the poor remelting and metallurgical bonding between droplets under inappropriate droplet and substrate temperatures. To address this problem, the appropriate temperature condition
