Experiments on individual droplet heat transfer rates
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 1972Abstract Experimental results for droplet heat transfer during splattering have been extended to smaller drop sizes than previously available through the use of an electrostatic drop generation device. Droplet diameters vary from 0.02 to 0.15 in.

Study on mass transfer of droplets in narrow space
Chemical Engineering Science, 2015Abstract Combinatorial or high-throughput experimentation is improving numerous scientific domains intensely, such as biological chemistry, material science, catalysis. In the past research, most of researchers focus on the novel configuration and microfabrication rather than the transfer mechanism in the microcosm.

Radiation heat transfer in dispersed droplet flow
International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, 1989Abstract A simple model for predicting heat transfer in dispersed droplet flow has been proposed. Parametric trends obtained based on simulation runs are discussed.

Mass transfer into droplets undergoing reactive extraction
Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification, 2003Abstract The mass transfer into droplets in metal extraction is investigated in the system ZnSO 4 –H 2 SO 4 /di(2ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid in isododecane. Results of equilibrium measurements and stirred cell experiments are described in a mathematical model based on gradients of chemical potential.

Visualization of Mass Transfer during Droplet Formation
Chemical Engineering & Technology, 2019AbstractThe impact of mass transfer in liquid‐liquid extraction during droplet formation in a quiescent continuous phase was investigated. The impact of droplet size, concentration, and formation rate on a hanging droplet was analyzed via laser induced fluorescence (LIF) using rhodamine 6G as tracer in the system of toluene and acetone in water.

Sensitivity study for the mass transfer at a single droplet
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2005Abstract The mass transfer between a single droplet and a surrounding fluid can be described mathematically solving the momentum and mass balances in both phases (conjugate problem). This study of dimensionless parameters shows how the process is influenced by changes in material properties and operating conditions.

Heat-transfer measurements of evaporating liquid droplets
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 1978The heat transfer to simulated (porous sphere) water and methanol droplets were measured in an atmospheric vertical hot air tunnel. The experiments were limited to a Reynolds number range of 200–2000, a free stream air temperature range of 150–960°C and a velocity range of 2.1–11.4 m/s. The experimental data can best be correlated by Nuf(1 + B) = 2 + 0.
