Correlation of radius of cathode spot of vacuum arc of metals on the size of generated droplets

open access: yesВесці Нацыянальнай акадэміі навук Беларусі: Серыя фізіка-тэхнічных навук, 2021
The simple relation to estimate the cathode spot radius of a vacuum arc of pure metals is obtained. On its basis, is established between the cathode spot radius and the size of droplets generated by the cathode spot a correlation.

Effects of Extraoral Suction on Droplets and Aerosols for Infection Control Practices

open access: yesDentistry Journal, 2021
Dental professionals are at increased risk of being infected with airborne pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2 because they are often exposed to droplets/aerosols production during dental treatment.

Superwalking Droplets [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2019
A \textit{walker} is a droplet of liquid that self-propels on the free surface of an oscillating bath of the same liquid through feedback between the droplet and its wave field. We have studied walking droplets in the presence of two driving frequencies and have observed a new class of walking droplets, which we coin \textit{superwalkers}. Superwalkers

Impact of Chemical Properties of Human Respiratory Droplets and Aerosol Particles on Airborne Viruses’ Viability and Indoor Transmission

open access: yesViruses, 2022
The airborne transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been identified as a potential pandemic challenge, especially in poorly ventilated indoor environments, such as certain hospitals, schools, public buildings ...

Live Attenuated and Sub-Unit Vaccines Exploitation Against Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 [SARS-COV2] [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Medical Arts, 2023
Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 [SARS-COV2] is a serious infection nowadays. Infection is typically limited to the mucosal cells of the respiratory tract. At least 50% of infections are asymptomatic.

Pressure dynamics of an internal shock wave emission inside a water droplet and potential cavitation

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2023
Shock reflected by a spherical interface is involved in shock-droplet interaction. Here, we investigate the pressure dynamics of an internal spherical shock wave and the potential cavitation inside a spherical water droplet.

The Laboratory in a Droplet [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry & Biology, 2005
In this issue of Chemistry and Biology, the groups of Tawfik and Griffiths present fluorescence-activated cell sorting of double emulsions as a generally applicable screen for enzyme activity. This novel methodology increases the throughput of a typical enzyme screen by two orders of magnitude.

“Pravara Tent”- An Innovative Protective Device to Control Aerosol in Dental Clinics during the COVID-19 Pandemic [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2020
Many dental procedures use modern devices like an air rotor and ultrasonic scaler, which generate aerosols and droplets. The dental procedures cannot be performed without the above devices.
