Voltage references which are suitable for low Earth orbit space missions were irradiated at low dose rate with gamma particles by INTA (Institute Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial). The aim of this work is to analyze the enhancement of low dose rate sensitivity in this type of devices, based on bipolar as well as CMOS technology.

This paper presents a 1.5 V 50 mA low dropout voltage (LDO) regulator using an NMOS transistor as the output pass element. Continuous time operation of the LDO is achieved using a new switched floating capacitor scheme that raises the gate voltage of the pass element.

Analysis of low-dropout regulator topologies for low-voltage regulation

The design considerations of integrated CMOS low-voltage low-dropout regulators are addressed in this paper. The limitations of a generic LDO based on dominant-pole compensation are discussed. Then, LDO with a voltage-buffer stage and the corresponding problems in low-voltage design are discussed.
