Abstract We introduce collinear drop jet substructure observables, which are unaffected by contributions from collinear radiation, and systematically probe soft radiation within jets. These observables can be designed to be either sensitive or insensitive to process-dependent soft radiation originating from outside the jet.

Prospects for the drug use based on common ivy for bronchopulmonary pathology in childhood
Respiratory diseases persistently lead in the structure of general morbidity in both children and adolescents. Acute respiratory infections are the most common among them. Interest of pediatricians to phytotherapy is not accidental and is due to the fact

Symmetric and Asymmetric Coalescence of Drops on a Substrate [PDF]
The coalescence of viscous drops on a substrate is studied experimentally and theoretically. We consider cases where the drops can have different contact angles, leading to a very asymmetric coalescence process.

Study on droplet behaviour in the gas–liquid coupled fan flow field
The motion mechanism of the single droplet during wing cleaning of aeroengine is studied, and the force acting on the droplet entering the fan at low speed is analysed, and the motion model of a single droplet in swirl field is established. The influence

The Characteristics of Vortex Spray Countercurrent Mass Exchange Device (VSCMED) [PDF]
The article contains the results of the efficiency research of vortex dispersing countercurrent mass exchange device performance. There are recommendations given on the basis of analysis of liquid jet and liquid drops movement to assess the mass exchange

Detailed characteristics of drop-laden mixing layers: Large eddy simulation predictions compared to direct numerical simulation [PDF]
Results are compared from direct numerical simulation (DNS) and large eddy simulation (LES) of a temporal mixing layer laden with evaporating drops to assess the ability of LES to reproduce detailed characteristics of DNS.

A Rosetta Stone for Understanding Infectious Drops and Aerosols.
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) pandemic confronts the medical and public health professions with the difficult task of controlling the first and maybe the second waves of infection with limited antiviral medications and without vaccines.
