RING‐Between‐RING‐Type E3 Ligase Ariadne‐Like Protein 8 Negatively Regulates Plant Virus Infection by Targeting a Viral Movement Protein

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The plant RING‐between‐RING (RBR)‐type E3 ligase, Ariadne‐like protein 8 (ARI8), ubiquitinates and degrades a viral movement protein, restricting virus spread. ARI8 also inhibits other triple gene block 1 (TGB1)‐containing viruses, revealing a broad‐spectrum antiviral role.

In Silico evaluation of phytoconstituents from Carica Papaya and its anti-hyperglycemic activities on high sucrose-induced oxidative stress in Drosophila melanogaster

open access: yesScientific Reports
Oxidative stress plays a key role in the development of metabolic disorders, such as diabetes. This study investigated the phytoconstituents present in Carica papaya (AECP) using an in silico model, and its anti-hyperglycemic activities on high sucrose ...

Chemical analysis of Alliin-Rich Allium sativum (Garlic) extract and its safety evaluation in Drosophila melanogaster

open access: yesToxicology Reports
Garlic (Allium sativum) has been traditionally valued for its medicinal properties attributed to the presence of organosulfur compounds. Despite its benefits, concerns about herbal extract toxicity have arisen, necessitating safety assessment. This study

Dynamic eIF3‐S6 Phase Separation Switch Instructed by m6A Modification Drives the Molting of Locusts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research reveals that reduced m6A modifications during insect molting trigger liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) of the m6A reader eIF3‐S6, which binds and stabilizes key molting mRNAs, including EcR and Cht10. Disrupting m6A or LLPS causes cuticle remodeling defects and molting failure, highlighting the synergistic control of gene expression ...
