Targeting Poverty and Developing Sustainable Development Objectives for the United Nation’s Countries using a Systematic Approach Combining DRSA and Multiple Linear Regressions [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of Applied Economics, 2020
The objectives of this article is to target poverty using Dominance-based Rough Set Approach (DRSA) to help the United Nation’s Countries develop objectives for sustainable development. There are 12 variables divided into 2 perspectives. The first is an economical and technological perspective composed of 6 variables.

Massive Gauge Fields and the Planck Scale

open access: yes, 2004
The present work is devoted to massive gauge fields in special relativity with two fundamental constants-the velocity of light, and the Planck length, so called doubly special relativity (DSR).

Translational control of discoidin lectin expression in drsA suppressor mutants of Dictyostelium discoideum.

open access: yesMolecular and Cellular Biology, 1991
Genetic analysis in Dictyostelium discoideum has identified regulatory genes which control the developmental expression of the discoidin lectin multigene family. Among these, the drsA mutation is a dominant second-site suppressor of another mutation, disB, which has the discoidinless phenotype.

The Power Duo: How the Interplay Between Nucleoid‐Associated Proteins and Small Noncoding RNAs Orchestrates the Cellular Regulatory Symphony

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 123, Issue 6, Page 531-546, June 2025.
Nucleoid‐associated proteins play a crucial role in the compaction of bacterial DNA and the regulation of gene expression. The emergence of small noncoding RNAs as regulatory elements in these processes represents a major development in our understanding of bacterial biology.

Robust ordinal regression for value functions handling interacting criteria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceWe present a new method called UTAGMS–INT for ranking a finite set of alternatives evaluated on multiple criteria. It belongs to the family of Robust Ordinal Regression (ROR) methods which build a set of preference models compatible

Respiratory Sinus Arrhythmia—Common and Distinct Mechanisms of Emotional Adjustment in the Depressive and Anxiety Disorders Spectrum?

open access: yesPsychophysiology, Volume 62, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) reflects the activity of a cortico‐limbic control system, enabling the flexible regulation of cardiac output via the parasympathetic nervous system. We assessed two markers of RSA, that is resting RSA (rRSA) and RSA reactivity (ΔRSA) and evaluated their common and distinct role for regulating emotional ...

Antibiotic–Polycationic Peptide Conjugation as an Effective Strategy to Overcome Daptomycin Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2025.
Antimicrobial resistance necessitates the development of new antibiotics with “resistance‐breaking” properties. In this study, conjugation of polycationic peptides is proven to represent a versatile strategy for the fast and affordable reactivation of daptomycin.
