Evidence of pseudoprogression in patients treated with PD1/PDL1 antibodies across tumor types
Background PD(L)1 antibodies (anti‐PD(L)‐1) have been a major breakthrough in several types of cancer. Novel patterns of response and progression have been described with anti‐PD(L)‐1.

Mouse primary microglia respond differently to LPS and poly(I:C) in vitro
Microglia, CNS resident innate immune cells, respond strongly to activation of TLR3 and TLR4, which recognize viral dsRNA poly(I:C) and bacterial endotoxin LPS, respectively.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Biomarkers in drug development
Due to the increasing understanding of the mechanisms relevant to the genesis of cancer, we are experiencing a transition from diseaseto target-oriented therapy. Thus the challenge of bringing new therapeutics to clinical application and registration now focuses on the molecular target expressed by the malignant cell rather than treatment of the ...
