Prospective Evaluation of a Fractional 675‐nm Nonablative Laser for Atrophic Acne Scars in Fitzpatrick Skin Types III–IV

open access: yesLasers in Surgery and Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Energy‐based treatments for atrophic acne scars (AAS) in darker skin phototypes must balance efficacy with pigmentary safety. While the nonablative 675‐nm laser has shown promise with minimal risk of adverse effects, prospective data in Asian populations remain limited.

Adverse Skin Reactions due to Ribavirin in Hepatitis C Combination Therapy with Pegylated Interferon-α2a

open access: yesCase Reports in Dermatology, 2013
The introduction of ribavirin to hepatitis C combination therapy with pegylated interferon (PEG-IFN)-α2a has improved sustained responses, but it has been accompanied by an increased incidence of cutaneous side effects. Most cases of drug eruption caused

Interventions to Prevent Postinflammatory Hyperpigmentation After Laser and Energy‐Based Device Treatments: A Systematic Review and Network Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesLasers in Surgery and Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is the most common adverse effect following laser treatments, yet the relative efficacy of proposed prophylactic measures remains uncertain. Objectives To compare the effectiveness of available interventions for preventing laser‐induced PIH in randomized controlled trials (RCTs).

A case of levocetirizine-induced fixed drug eruption and cross-reaction with piperazine derivatives

open access: yesAsia Pacific Allergy, 2013
Fixed drug eruption is an uncommon adverse drug reaction caused by delayed cell-mediated hypersensitivity. Levocetirizine is an active (R)-enatiomer of cetirizine and there have been a few reports of fixed drug eruption related to these antihistamines ...

Morphological and Computational Analysis of Additively Manufacturable Polyimide Precursors: Implications for Rationally Designing New Polyimide Structures

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Multiscale experiments and DFT calculations establish how polyimide precursor choice governs additively manufactured morphology. PMDA/ODA and PMDA/DDS printed via a polysalt vat photopolymerization route are compared by SEM, SAXS/WAXS, and TGA. PDMA/DDS displays reduced π‐stacking and lower thermal stability compared to PMDA/ODA.

Hidden Insights: Comprehensive Radiological Analysis of Four Skeletal Populations From 13th–19th Century Southern Finland Reveals Neoplastic and Other Lesions Invisible on Bone Surfaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Osteoarchaeology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study aims to identify lesions confined to the internal structures of bones. A radiographic analysis was performed on 219 archaeological, historical period skeletons from southern Finland. Although the study examines nearly all preserved skeletal elements using plain radiographs, it does not incorporate computed tomography.

Evaluation of Off‐Label Postoperative Inhaled Steroid Use in Tracheal and Cricotracheal Resection

open access: yesOtolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Tracheal resection (TR) and cricotracheal resection (CTR) are associated with anastomotic complications. Off‐label use of inhaled corticosteroids has gained popularity for reducing tracheal granulation tissue, though adoption remains limited due to unclear safety and efficacy.
