Regulated Ion‐Diffusion Hydrogels for Subtle and Multimodal Temperature‐Strain Sensing in Wound Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Chloride Diffusivity and Life Prediction of Cracked RC Beams Exposed to Different Wet-Dry Ratios and Exposure Duration

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2017
Effects of crack width, wet-dry ratio, and exposure duration of wet-dry cycles on chloride ingress of RC beams were experimentally studied. Crack widths of 40, 70, 90, and 120 microns were, respectively, induced by three-point flexural loading and four ...

Modelling of chloride penetration in concrete under wet/dry cycle

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
This present study concerns modelling of chloride penetration in partially saturated concrete. To mimic the intermittent exposure of sea water to concrete, varying environmental conditions for relative humidity and chloride concentration were considered.

Fast Charge–Discharge of LiNi0.9Co0.05Mn0.05 Enabled by a Bikitaite‐Infused Separator for Li Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bikitaite‐infused cellulose separator is introduced for Li metal batteries, leveraging bikitaite zeolite's ion‐conductive properties to regulate Li+‐ion flux and suppress dendrite growth. The membrane design ensures uniform Li plating, enhanced electrolyte wettability, and robust thermal/mechanical stability, delivering stable performance and low ...

Titanium Suboxides Responsible for Electronic Anomaly Near Room Temperature in the Ti3C2Tx MXene

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Our multi‐technique study reveals that the near‐room‐temperature anomaly in Ti3C2Tx MXene is linked to titanium suboxide nanodomains, including Ti3O5, embedded within the MXene host. Their temperature‐driven transformation provides an alternative explanation to solvent‐ and swelling‐based models and offers new insight into the thermally activated ...
