Mesoporous Silicon with Capacity‐Limited Lithiation: A Strategy for Stable High‐Capacity Lithium‐Ion Anodes

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Pairing mesoporous silicon with capacity‐limited lithiation increases stability in high‐Si composite anodes. Across four lithiation degrees, porous Si suppresses crystalline Li15Si4 formation, lowers polarization, and exhibits far less irreversible thickening than bulk micro‐Si particles, as confirmed by scanning electron microscopy thickness analysis.

Template‐Directed Growth of Palladium Nanoparticles in Holey Single‐Layer Graphene for High‐Performance Room‐Temperature Hydrogen Sensing

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
A template‐directed method produces holey single‐layer graphene with uniform 2.7 nm pores while preserving sp2 conjugation. These reactive edges confine the autoreductive growth of palladium nanoparticles without external reducing agents. The resulting Pd@HG hybrid delivers ultrahigh sensitivity, low detection limits, fast response/recovery, and stable

In Vitro Evaluation of Apical Transportation Induced by Single‐ and Dual‐Thermally Treated NiTi Instruments

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Introduction Martensitic endodontic instruments, thanks to their flexibility, produce less apical transportation compared to austenitic instruments. Recently, a sequence of instruments featuring a dual thermal treatment applied separately to the tip and the shank was introduced with the aim of achieving a tip with enhanced cutting capacity and a more ...

Fouling in Emulsion Polymerization: Fundamentals and Methods of Investigation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 142, Issue 43, November 15, 2025.
ABSTRACT The current understanding of fouling in emulsion polymerization is summarized from an engineering perspective and from a physical‐chemistry perspective. Emulsion polymerization in semibatch mode offers better control over the number of particles and side reactions than batch mode. Both reaction fouling and particulate fouling are observed, the
