Wearable Smart Textiles for Long-Term Electrocardiography Monitoring—A Review
The continuous and long-term measurement and monitoring of physiological signals such as electrocardiography (ECG) are very important for the early detection and treatment of heart disorders at an early stage prior to a serious condition occurring.

Tribocorrosion Properties of PEO Coatings Produced on AZ91 Magnesium Alloy with Silicate- or Phosphate-Based Electrolytes [PDF]
In this work, the tribocorrosion behavior of plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO)-coated AZ91 samples was studied. In particular, two different coatings were produced and compared. One was obtained with an alkaline electrolyte containing sodium phosphate,

Surface electromyography using dry polymeric electrodes
Conventional wet Ag/AgCl electrodes are widely used in electrocardiography, electromyography (EMG), and electroencephalography (EEG) and are considered the gold standard for biopotential measurements. However, these electrodes require substantial skin preparation, are single use, and cannot be used for continuous monitoring (>24 h).

ZnS‐MXene‐TiO2 nanocomposite heterojunction for photocatalytic decomposition of this methylene blue dye (MB) greatly improves light absorption, charge separation, and active site area. Two‐dimensional MXene forms nanocomposites by easily combining them with 0D (quantum dots), 1D (tube and wire), 2D (plane and sheet), and 3D (particle and lamellar ...

EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

Enhancement of single-lead dry-electrode ECG through wavelet denoising
Neonatal electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring is an important diagnostic tool for identifying cardiac issues in infants at birth. Long-term remote neonatal dry-electrode ECG monitoring solutions can be an additional step for preventive healthcare measures.

3D Printable Dry EEG Electrodes with Coiled-Spring Prongs
Various dry electroencephalography (EEG) electrodes have been developed. Dry EEG electrodes need to be pressed onto the scalp; therefore, there is a tradeoff between keeping the contact impedance low and maintaining comfort.

Single-particle levitation system for automated study of homogeneous solute nucleation [PDF]
We present an instrument that addresses two critical requirements for quantitative measurements of the homogeneous crystal nucleation rate in supersaturated aqueous solution. First, the need to perform repeated measurements of nucleation incubation times

A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.
