A dry electrode for EEG recording [PDF]

open access: yesElectroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1994
This paper describes the design, fabrication and testing of a prototype dry surface electrode for EEG signal recording. The new dry electrode has the advantages of no need for skin preparation or conductive paste, potential for reduced sensitivity to motion artifacts and an enhanced signal-to-noise ratio.

Dry-Contact Electrode Ear-EEG [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2019
Ear-EEG is a recording method in which EEG signals are acquired from electrodes placed on an earpiece inserted into the ear. Thereby, ear-EEG provides a noninvasive and discreet way of recording EEG, and has the potential to be used for long-term brain monitoring in real-life environments.

Dry Electrode Materials for Electrocardiographic Monitoring [PDF]

open access: yes2018 25th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS), 2018
In this paper, a preliminary study about the most suitable dry electrode materials is done in the context of electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement systems used at home. Therefore, the electrical equivalent circuit between two electrodes through the body is developed as well as the ECG quality evaluation factors.
