Charge Transport in Ternary Charge‐Transfer Solid Solution Single Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study deconvolutes the roles of indirect (superexchange) and direct electronic coupling on charge transport in single crystals of an organic charge‐transfer molecular semiconductor (OSC). This model system elegantly demonstrates that structural defects introduced by chemical dopants play a significant role in the electronic performance ...

THE USE OF HUMAN RIGHTS INSTRUMENTS TO PROTECT THE VICTIMS OF LAND FIRE IN INDONESIA

open access: yesYustisia, 2018
During the long and dry season, land fire which cause smog haze pollution, is a common phenomenon in Indonesia. Although the practice of slash and burn cultivation has no longer in existence after the promulgation of the 1974 Law No.

Winter Application of Manure: Regulations and Common Sense [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In 2009, the Iowa Legislature passed a bill pertaining to winter application of manure on snow-covered and frozen ground. The rules enforcing that legislation were completed earlier this year and went into effect on Sept. 15, 2010.

Switchable Supramolecular Adhesive by Tuning Interfacial Bonding and Modulus

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The supramolecular adhesive (HyDiP) shows reversible adhesion and recyclability. In the dehydrated state, it is dense, stiff (E ≈445 MPa), transparent, and provides strong bonding with adhesion strengths up to 4.65 MPa. In the hydrated state, it becomes porous, soft (E ≈0.11 MPa), and detaches easily, enabling sustainable high‐strength applications ...

Photothermal Macroporous Lignin Cryogels for Off‐Grid, Continuous Atmospheric Water Collection via Interlayer Heat Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photothermal, macroporous lignin‐based cryogels are engineered to convert sunlight into low‐grade heat. Integrated as stacked beds in a drum‐type device, a thin copper interlayer transfers waste heat between beds, enabling interlayer heat recovery and continuous solar cycling.

Macro-micro Evolution Characteristic Function of Solidified Loess under the Effects of Dry-wet Cycles

open access: yesShuitu Baochi Xuebao
[Objective] To reveal the durability of solidified loess slope protection in long-term service. [Methods] Under the condition of dry-wet cycles, direct shear, permeability mechanical tests of solidified loess were carried out to study the evolution law ...

Formulations of moist thermodynamics for atmospheric modelling

open access: yes, 2015
Internal energy, enthalpy and entropy are the key quantities to study thermodynamic properties of the moist atmosphere, because they correspond to the First (internal energy and enthalpy) and Second (entropy) Laws of thermodynamics.

Deposit Growth in the Wetting of an Angular Region with Uniform Evaporation

open access: yes, 2005
Solvent loss due to evaporation in a drying drop can drive capillary flows and solute migration. The flow is controlled by the evaporation profile and the geometry of the drop. We predict the flow and solute migration near a sharp corner of the perimeter
