On the mechanical damage to tailings sands subjected to dry–wet cycles
Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment, 2018The safety of tailings ponds is considered to be one of the greatest environmental challenges in the field of energy and mining engineering. Impacted by factors such as rainfall infiltration, recycling water, dry beach face evaporation, tailings sands close to the saturation line in tailings ponds are subject to frequent dry–wet (DW) cycles.

Creep damage properties of sandstone under dry-wet cycles
Journal of Mountain Science, 2020Rock creep properties can be used to predict the long-term stability in rock engineering. In reservoir bank slopes, sandstones which are frequently used in the bank slope undergoing long-term effects of dry-wet (DW) cycles due to periodic water inundation and drainage may gradually accumulate creep deformation, resulting in rock structure’s damage or ...

Chloride migration in PPF concrete under dry-wet cycle
2011 International Conference on Electric Technology and Civil Engineering (ICETCE), 2011In order to study the Cl− penetration depth in polypropylene fiber concrete with different volume, indoor artificial method was used to simulate dry-wet cycle, and the concentrations of AgNO 3 solution indicator on the Cl− concentration at the color change boundary of the specimens was investigated.

Shrinkage and Interior Humidity of Concrete under Dry–Wet Cycles
Drying Technology, 2012The dry–wet cycle is one of the aggressive environmental conditions suffered by concrete. This article focuses on the experimental study and theoretical simulation of shrinkage of concrete during dry–wet cycles. The experimental results show that the interior relative humidity of concrete is periodically changed during dry–wet cycles.

Influence of Sulfate Attack and Drying-Wetting Cycle on Properties of Mortar
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012This paper presents the study on mortar specimens exposed to three kinds of Na2SO4 solution(0.5%,5%and10%)and different drying-wetting cycles(20,30,40and75). Influence of cycle number and solution concentration on mechanical behavior, mass and appearance of mortar specimen was analysis.
