Drying Shrinkage of Cast-In-Situ Concrete in Half-Precast Concrete System Under Restraint Conditions
In half-precast concrete (PC) systems, the drying shrinkage of cast-in-place (CIP) concrete is significantly greater than that of PC slabs, which are typically manufactured in factories using well-controlled steam curing. In actual construction, however,

PREDICTION OF OCCURRENCE OF CRACKS DUE TO AUTOGENEOUS SHRINKAGE AND DRYING SHRINKAGE

COMPARISON OF DRYING SHRINKAGE AND DRYING CREEP KINETICS IN CONCRETE
The aim of this paper is to show and compare the time evolution of drying shrinkage and drying creep in concrete from three different perspectives. The first one analyzes the basic equations defined in the most common design codes and prediction models for the description of the long-term behavior of concrete (ACI 209, EC2, Model Code 2010, B3, B4 ...

CHARACTERIZING THE BEHAVIOR OF CONCRETE CAST WITH TYPE K SHRINKAGE COMPENSATING CEMENT WHEN PLACED UNDER MECHANICAL RESTRAINT [PDF]
The purpose of this research was to determine whether shrinkage-compensating concrete (SCC) made with Type K cement is capable of offsetting the effects of early age drying shrinkage, specifically when the concrete is acted upon by a stiff external ...
