Analysis of Shrinkage Reducing Admixtures on Drying Shrinkage of Concrete
"SP-209: ACI Fifth Int Conf Innovations in Design with Emphasis on Seismic, Wind and Environmental Loading, Quality Con", 2002This work aimed to verify the feasibility of reducing the drying shrinkage of concrete made with portland pozzolan cement. Major variables included slump, shrinkage-reducing admixture (SRA) brand and dosages, and specimen dimensions. Tests were conducted on 132 prism specimens and shrinkage strains were measured up to 360 days of drying.

Freeze‐drying shrinkage of glutaraldehyde fixed liver
Journal of Microscopy, 1981SUMMARYDimensional changes were recorded during the freeze drying (FD) of 1 mm cubes of glutaraldehyde (GA) fixed adult mouse liver. The areas of the front faces of these blocks was measured using a Quantimet 720 image analysing computer system. Interpolating the first straight line portion of the graphs of size versus time backwards to the origin ...

Potato Shrinkage During Hot Air Drying
Food Science and Technology International, 2010Shrinkage is one of the most important physical changes that occur during the dehydration of foods. In this work, the effect of the temperature (35, 40, 50, 60 and 70 °C) and air velocity (7, 8, 9 and 10 m/s) on bulk volumetric shrinkage was investigated. Volume changes were evaluated by image analysis.
