A new combination in Arachniodes (Dryopteridaceae)

Phytotaxa, 2014
The fern species Polystichum polyodon Ching (1936: 93) of Dryopteridaceae is endemic to North East India (Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya) and expected to occur in Myanmar and South West China (Ebihara et al. 2012). Wallich (1832) first named it as Polypodium polyodon Wallich (1832: 241) nom.

Chromosome numbers of four genera in the Dryopteridaceae

Acta Phytotaxonomica Sinica, 2006
Chromosome numbers and reproductive types of six species of four genera in the Dryopteridaceae, i.e., Leptorumohra, Lithostegia, Phanerophlebiopsis and Cyrtogonellum were investigated. The chromosome numbers were n=41 in Leptorumohra quadripinnata, 2n=164 in Lithostegia foeniculacea, 2n=82 in Phanerophlebiopsis neopodophylla, 'n'=123, and 2n=123 in ...

Phylogeny and biogeography of exindusiate Andean Polystichum (Dryopteridaceae)

American Journal of Botany, 2014
• Premise of the study: Uplift of the tropical Andes had a significant impact on the diversification of South American flora and fauna. Recent biogeographic inquiries have established patterns of Andean divergence, but investigations on ferns are scant.

Molecular phylogenetics and historical biogeography of Hawaiian Dryopteris (Dryopteridaceae)

Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 2005
The fern genus Dryopteris (Dryopteridaceae) is represented in the Hawaiian Islands by 18 endemic taxa and one non-endemic, native species. The goals of this study were to determine whether Dryopteris in Hawai'i is monophyletic and to infer the biogeographical origins of Hawaiian Dryopteris by determining the geographical distributions of their closest ...
