Sensing of cardiolipin exposure on plasma membranes of apoptotic cells by EryA‐mCherry protein

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
An aegerolysin protein erylysin A (EryA) fused with mCherry binds to artificial lipid vesicles supplemented with cardiolipin (CL). This binding is much more specific than that of annexin V, which binds various negatively charged glycerophospholipids (PG, PS, PI). In mammalian cells, the CL exposition at the membrane surface represents an early hallmark

Lifetime Cost‐Utility Analysis of Emicizumab Prophylaxis in Severe Haemophilia A Without Inhibitors in China: A Markov Model Analysis

open access: yesHaemophilia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim As emicizumab shares no sequence homology with factor VIII (FVIII), in patients with haemophilia A, haemostasis can be restored irrespective of the presence of FVIII inhibitors. Emicizumab, therefore, substantially improved previously available prophylactic options.

Interferon Regulatory Factor 2 (IRF2) Suppression Enhances Murine Cardiac Allograft Survival Through Immune Evasion

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
Our data show that suppressing IRF2, genetically or by siRNA, modulates PD‐L1 and MHC‐I levels. This induced immune‐evasive state critically underlies the significantly prolonged survival of cardiac allografts, revealing a novel therapeutic avenue.
