Digitale Subtraktionsdiskographie (DSD)
RöFo - Fortschritte auf dem Gebiet der Röntgenstrahlen und der bildgebenden Verfahren, 1988Conventional cervical discography was carried out in 25 patients during the period of one year. At the same time, we employed the well known principle of digital subtraction. The results of DSD have been compared with conventional discography. In every case more informative images were obtained despite the use of lower amounts of contrast.

This chapter describes the indications for laparoscopy in DSD as well as the common situations that arise in DSD patients. We also present a detailed account of the technical procedure as it is currently performed, although the speed with which advances are being made in this area means that it may be quickly outdated.

46,XX DSD comprises the most common group of genital variations, with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) being the most important, not only because of its frequency but also because of its life-threatening complications without treatment. The different conditions are described, showing the range of genetic and enzymatic anomalies that lead to excess ...

Numerous congenital malformations affect the anterior abdominal wall, genital region and perineum. The key to recognition of these anomalies is that the anatomy is not along the line between normal male and normal female, as there are abnormalities of other structures. The more frequent malformations are described briefly in this chapter.

Female fertility preservation in DSD
Best Practice & Research Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 2019Disorders of sex development (DSD) are a group of complex conditions that can affect chromosomal, gonadal, and/or phenotypical sex with a highly variable fertility potential amongst affected individuals. In this review we discuss fertility issues facing patients affected by DSD and Turner syndrome and summarise the literature on fertility and ...

Developmentally situated design (DSD)
Proceedings of the SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2011There is a wealth of theoretical knowledge about the developmental abilities and skills of children. However, this knowledge is not readily accessible to designers of interactive products. In this paper, we present the requirements, design and evaluation of developmentally situated design (DSD) cards. DSD cards are a design tool that makes age specific

Some DSD are caused by atypical combinations of sex chromosomes. Sex chromosome DSD, where there is aneuploidy, or lack of paired chromosomes, is the cause of Turner syndrome (45,X) and Klinefelter syndrome (47,XXY). In addition, there may be mosaic patterns of sex chromosomes, which include girls with Turner syndrome and Y-chromosomal cell lines, as ...

This chapter describes the current imaging modalities available for DSD patients. The genitogram has been used for many years and is still required in many cases, but has now been augmented by ultrasonography and MRI, all of which are illustrated in detail.
