Theorising health equity research for people with intersex variance through new materialism
Abstract Health inequalities impact sex‐variant people in highly differentiated ways. This is evidenced in much academic and activist intersex research documenting the highly specific forms of inequalities arising from misrecognition, discrimination and human rights abuses inherent to pathologised accounts of non‐normative bodies. Important theoretical

Should CAH in Females Be Classified as DSD? [PDF]
Great controversies and misunderstandings have developed around the relatively recently coined term disorders of sex development (DSD). In this article, we question the wisdom of including XX individuals with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) in the DSD category and develop arguments against it based on the published literature on the subject. It is

Volumetric medical image segmentation through dual self-distillation in U-shaped networks [PDF]
U-shaped networks and its variants have demonstrated exceptional results for medical image segmentation. In this paper, we propose a novel dual self-distillation (DSD) framework in U-shaped networks for volumetric medical image segmentation. DSD distills knowledge from the ground-truth segmentation labels to the decoder layers.

Switching cost and store choice
Abstract Switching costs are generally regarded as anticompetitive as firms can raise prices to “locked‐in” consumers, at least up to the cost of switching to a lower‐priced alternative. However, there is some evidence, both theoretical and empirical, that tends to show the opposite.

Appropriate management of disorders of sex development (DSD) has been a matter of discussion since the first guidelines were published in the 1950s. In the last decade, with the advent of the 2006 consensus, the classical methods, especially regarding ...

In a majority of individuals with disorders/differences of sex development (DSD) a genetic etiology is often elusive. However, new genes causing DSD are routinely reported and using the unbiased genomic approaches, such as whole exome sequencing (WES ...

Comparison of different fittings of experimental DSD [PDF]
Retrieval of a distribution of raindrop sizes from measured drop spectra is critically influenced by the tail of the distribution. The influence of various tail-types is studied with reference to four parameterisations fitted both to the large dropsonlyand to the entire sample of the disdrometer-measured spectra.

Fabrication of One-Dimensional Programmable-Height Nanostructures via Dynamic Stencil Deposition [PDF]
Dynamic stencil deposition (DSD) techniques offer a variety of fabrication advantages not possible with traditional lithographic processing, such as the the ability to directly deposit nanostructures with programmable height profiles. However, DSD systems have not enjoyed widespread usage due to their complexity.

Abstract Objective Turner syndrome (TS) is associated with short stature, delayed puberty, primary ovarian insufficiency, and other features. Most girls with TS require oestrogen replacement for pubertal induction. There is paucity of data in adult TS on pubertal outcomes, including breast satisfaction.
