Analysis of randomized congestion control in DSDV routing

Proceedings 8th International Symposium on Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems (Cat. No.PR00728), 2002
We consider a randomized version of the Destination-Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV) routing protocol for ad hoc networks, called R-DSDV. We are concerned with the capabilities of R-DSDV with respect to distributed congestion control. We present an analytical study based on a novel approach that uses Markov chains representing the distribution of ...

Dual-Interface Multiple Channels DSDV Protocol

2009 IEEE International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Computing, Networking and Communications, 2009
Communications in single channel single interface ad hoc network suffer from channel access contention, which results in bandwidth scarcity. One way to overcome this problem is through the use of multiple channels multiple interfaces (MCMI). In this paper, we present a dual-interface multiple channels Destination-Sequenced Distance-Vector (DSDV-M ...

A Novel Attack Model Simulation in DSDV Routing

2011 4th IFIP International Conference on New Technologies, Mobility and Security, 2011
Mobile Ad hoc network consists of a collection of mobile nodes capable of forming instantaneous network with dynamic topology. Each node simultaneously acts as both router and host. Nodes can leave or join the network freely. Destination Sequence Distance Vector (DSDV) is a modification of the conventional Bellman-Ford routing algorithm for ad hoc ...

A performnance study of DSDV-based CLUSTERPOW and DSDV routing algorithms for sensor network applications

2006 1st International Symposium on Wireless Pervasive Computing, 2006
Wireless adhoc sensor networks are ad hoc networks that consist of a number of autonomous, battery powered, static devices, communicating with each other through radio connections, using special routing algorithms. Many sensor network implementations use DSDV as their routing protocol.

Performance Analysis of DSDV, I-DSDV, OLSR , ZRP Proactive Routing Protocol in Mobile AdHoc Networks in IPv6

International Journal of Advanced Science and Technology, 2015
Ad hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes where wireless radio interface connects each device in MANET to move freely, independently and randomly. Routing protocols in mobile ad hoc network helps to communicate source node with destination node by sending and receiving packets.

Improvements on DSDV in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

2007 International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2007
To improve the packet delivery ratio of destination- sequenced distance vector (DSDV) routing protocol in mobile ad hoc networks with high mobility, a novel message exchange scheme for its invalid route reconstruction is proposed in this paper. When route becomes invalid due to link breakage, the node that detects the link breakage tries to create a ...

EDSDV: Efficient DSDV routing protocol for MANET

2013 IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Computing Research, 2013
A Mobile ad-hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that are able to communicate with each other without any requirement of static infrastructure. In this paper we present an improvement in the basic destination sequenced distance vector routing protocol (DSDV) for ad-hoc network.

Modification of DSDV and Secure Routing using Blockchain Technology

2020 4th International Conference on Electronics, Materials Engineering & Nano-Technology (IEMENTech), 2020
Wireless networking have increased considerably, and the network deployed on ad hoc basis called MANET is the need for todays’ communication activities. Also, the security issues of a MANET and its routing are equally important, otherwise, the benefits and easy usability would be seriously hampered.

Detection of Broken Link Fraud in DSDV Routing

2011
In this paper we present a technique to defend against Broken Link Fraud, a denial of service attack against Destination Sequenced Distance Vector. Each node in the network keeps track of the frequency of next hop for each destination. Next hop is blacklisted if frequency exceeds a threshold.

Broken Link Fraud in DSDV Routing - Detection and Countermeasure

2011
Routing protocols employed in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) lack security mechanisms. Vulnerabilities in protocols are exploited by malicious/compromised nodes to launch attacks.Consequently network performance is degraded. ‘Broken Link Fraud’is a Denial of Service (DoS) attack launched against Destination Sequence Distance Vector (DSDV) Protocol ...
