Developed in situ forming hydrogel has great potential in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Gel‐forming mixtures containing 50% (w/w) of platelet derivatives can be easily injected by syringes and form low‐swellable hydrogels with appropriate viscoelastic properties for synovial fluid viscosupplementation.

Trajectory Privacy Protection Based on Sensitive Stay Area Replacement in Publishing
In data opening and sharing, a trajectory privacy protection based on sensitive stay area replacement (SSAR) is proposed in order to improve the availability of protected trajectory while maintaining the same security. Firstly, the stay areas are extracted by analyzing the movement characteristics.

The study of evacuation behavior in response to disaster is necessary for emergency traffic management. As decision‐making is not exclusively dependent on observable variables, in this research, it is attempted to study the evacuation choice behavior pattern in emergency response to earthquake disaster by considering both physical and behavioral ...

Southwest Sumba Regency is located in the Banda Arc area. Its position which is very close to the subduction area in the south of Indonesia caused a lot of tectonic activity and earthquake hazard. The arrangement of alluvium, coral, and thick deposits on the island of Sumba makes it prone to earthquake strengthening.

Enabling coexistence: Navigating predator‐induced regime shifts in human‐ocean systems
Abstract Rapid system‐wide changes triggered by predators can pose considerable challenges to people. In the Northeast Pacific, the recovery of sea otters Enhydra lutris following their extirpation due to the 18th and 19th century fur trade is driving a social‐ecological regime shift with profound implications. While the ecological consequences of this

Probability of Roadside Accidents for Curved Sections on Highways
To predict the probability of roadside accidents for curved sections on highways, we chose eight risk factors that may contribute to the probability of roadside accidents to conduct simulation tests and collected a total of 12,800 data obtained from the PC‐crash software.

Seismic hazard assessment of the Shillong Plateau, India
The Shillong Plateau is an earthquake-prone region in the northeastern India. Based on regional seismotectonic studies, we present here a deterministic seismic hazard assessment (DSHA) and maps of peak horizontal accelerations (PHA) for three largely ...

Deterministic Seismic Hazard Analysis in Thailand using Active Fault Data
To develop seismic design criteria for buildings, seismic hazard analysis is required to estimate the ground motion intensity with criteria such as peak ground acceleration (PGA).

ABSTRACT We perform probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) in the Shillong Plateau by clubbing the up‐to‐date earthquake data and seismotectonic properties of the study area. Twenty‐one areal seismic sources are delineated based on the updated earthquake catalog, tectonic, and fault plane solutions.

As fragility and risk modeling techniques and computational capabilities evolve, complemented by moving toward more routine and systematic seismic risk assessment of all buildings and critical infrastructure, the authors pose a few critical questions to investigate how the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Seismic Hazard Models (NSHMs) can be used
