Advanced DSL management

IEEE Communications Magazine, 2003
Today's digital subscriber line deployments are often conservatively engineered to function in a statistically worst case environment. Crosstalk is treated as unknown and uncontrollable random noise, even though it is manmade. Other impairments are often treated by simply adding margin to crosstalk. While this simplistic practice currently suffices, it

Terabit DSLs

IEEE Communications Magazine, 2018
This article proposes an architecture and methodology for ultra-high-speed DSL connectivity. Known measurements of single-wire copper waveguide modes are extrapolated to a multi-user multiple-input-multiple-output (MU-MIMO) or, equivalently, "Vectored DSL" model for a binder of twisted pairs.

DSL-based Architecting and DSL-based Architectures

Proceedings of the 2014 European Conference on Software Architecture Workshops, 2014
The International Workshop on DSL Architecting and DSL-based Architectures (DADA'14) aims at exploring current perspectives on DSL architecting and on DSL-based architectures in research and industry. The workshop is co-located with the 8th European Conference on Software Architecture (ECSA'14) in Vienna, Austria.

Polymorphic embedding of dsls

Proceedings of the 7th international conference on Generative programming and component engineering, 2008
The influential pure embedding methodology of embedding domain-specific languages (DSLs) as libraries into a general-purpose host language forces the DSL designer to commit to a single semantics. This precludes the subsequent addition of compilation, optimization or domain-specific analyses.
