Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Association Between Sensory Loss and Falls Among Middle-Aged and Older Chinese Population: Cross-Sectional and Longitudinal Analyses

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine, 2022
Introduction: Previous studies have suggested that sensory loss is linked to falls. However, most of these studies were cross-sectional designed, focused on single sensory loss, and were conducted in developed countries with mixed results.

Enabling Digital Continuity in Virtual Manufacturing for Eco‐Efficiency Assessment of Lightweight Structures by Means of a Domain‐Specific Structural Mechanics Language: Requirements, Idea and Proof of Concept

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a solver‐agnostic domain‐specific language (DSL) for computational structural mechanics that strengthens interoperability in virtual product development. Using a hierarchical data model, the DSL enables seamless exchange between diverse simulation tools and numerical methods.

Tetrahydrobiopterin compounds modulate intracellular signaling and reactive oxygen species levels in an in vitro model of ischemia-reperfusion injury

open access: yesPteridines, 2013
Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) and 4-amino-tetrahydrobiopterin (ABH4) prevent acute rejection after solid organ transplantation. Moreover, BH4 also attenuates ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI).

Heterogeneous Architectures Programming Library

open access: yesТруды Института системного программирования РАН, 2018
Embedded platforms with heterogeneous architecture, considered in this paper, consist of one primary and one or more secondary processors. Development of software systems for these platforms poses substantial difficulties, requiring a distinct set of ...

Universal Conductance Fluctuations in Quantum Anomalous Hall Insulators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Universal conductance fluctuations are observed in mesoscopic quantum anomalous Hall insulators. Two distinct fluctuation patterns are identified, arising from different interference processes of bulk and chiral edge states, respectively. These findings unveil rich quantum interference phenomena in quantum anomalous Hall insulators and provide insights

Two Distinct Phonon Wave Effects Control Thermal Transport across the Coherent–Incoherent Regime in Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermal transport in smooth‐interface superlattices is studied using the phonon Wigner transport equation, which captures both particle‐like and wave‐like contributions. A minimum in cross‐plane thermal conductivity emerges with increasing period thickness, signaling a crossover from coherent to incoherent phonon transport.

Modularizing and Specifying Protocols among Threads

open access: yes, 2013
We identify three problems with current techniques for implementing protocols among threads, which complicate and impair the scalability of multicore software development: implementing synchronization, implementing coordination, and modularizing ...
