Correlation of Leaf and Root Senescence During Ripening in Dry Seeded and Transplanted Rice

open access: yesRice Science, 2018
Dry seeding is a resource-saving rice establishment method. With an equivalent yield, dry seeded flooded rice (DSR) has been considered as a replacement for traditional transplanted flooded rice (TFR). However, the differences in leaf and root senescence

Phenomenological Quantum Gravity

open access: yes, 2005
These notes summarize a set of lectures on phenomenological quantum gravity which one of us delivered and the other attended with great diligence. They cover an assortment of topics on the border between theoretical quantum gravity and observational ...

Substitution of Ti by Nb in Maraging Steel: Effects on Strengthening Mechanisms and Crystallographic Behavior

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that replacing Ti with Nb in maraging steel forms nanoscale Nb–Mo particles along boundaries, strengthening the alloy without relying on Ti phases. Heat‐treatment tuning promotes uniform crystal orientation and balanced grain boundaries, enabling strong yet ductile behavior.

Joint Optimal Design for Outage Minimization in DF Relay-assisted Underwater Acoustic Networks

open access: yes, 2018
This letter minimizes outage probability in a single decode-and-forward (DF) relay-assisted underwater acoustic network (UAN) without direct source-to-destination link availability.

A Probability‐Aware AI Framework for Reliable Anti‐Jamming Communication

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Adversarial jamming attacks have increased on communication systems, causing distortion and threatening transmissions. Typical attacks rely on traditional, well‐defined cryptographic protocols and frequency‐hopping techniques. Nevertheless, these techniques become vulnerable when facing intelligent jammers.

Graph-theoretic approaches to injectivity and multiple equilibria in systems of interacting elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We extend previous work on injectivity in chemical reaction networks to general interaction networks. Matrix- and graph-theoretic conditions for injectivity of these systems are presented.

Comparative Satellitomics in Arowanas (Telostei, Osteoglossiformes) Sheds Light on the Evolution of Ancient Satellite DNAs

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
This work focused on arowana fishes (Teleostei, Osteoglossiformes) as a model; their widespread intercontinental distribution and basal phylogenetic position within Teleostei make them a compelling model for evolutionary research, especially in the realm of satDNA molecular evolution. Through the integration of genomic and chromosomal data, we analyzed

Does the adoption of direct-seeded rice affect pesticide use? Evidence from China

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture
In China, farmers have increasingly adopted direct-seeded rice (DSR). While various impacts of DSR have been studied, limited evidence exists regarding the effect of DSR adoption on pesticide use.

Unpacking China's Digital Ascent in the Global South: The Case of Huawei in North Africa

open access: yesGlobal Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite frequent concerns in Western policy and media circles about the risks of using Chinese telecommunications suppliers, firms like Huawei have encountered little resistance from governments or citizens in the Global South. Empirical research explaining this acceptance remains limited.
