Structural insights into dissimilatory sulfite reductases: Structure of desulforubidin from Desulfomicrobium norvegicum

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2011
Dissimilatory sulfite reductases (dSiRs) are crucial enzymes in bacterial sulfur-based energy metabolism, which is likely to have been present in some of the earliest life forms on Earth.

Mesopause‐Region Gravity Wave Activity Due To Tropical Convection as Observed by AWE

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 22, 28 November 2025.
Abstract Mesopause‐region (∼ ${\sim} $87 km) gravity waves (GWs) generated by tropical convection are investigated within the four longitude sectors encompassing Africa, the Indian Ocean, the Intertropical Convergence Zone, and South America during the Dec 2023–Feb 2024 Southern Hemisphere monsoon season.

Oxidative Stability and Molecular Reactivity of Biodiesel from Castor and Cottonseed Oil Blends by Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysis

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
The oxidative stability of biodiesel from homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis of castor/cottonseed oil blends is studied. Castor oil's ricinoleic acid improves oxidative stability, acting as a natural antioxidant. Yet, HT catalysis led to lower stability due to catalyst leaching.

Vehicular positioning enhancement using DSRC

open access: yes, 2012
Road transportation injuries, environmental pollution, and wasted energy and time in traffic congestion cause considerable cost to society. Some examples are the $115 billion cost of United States traffic congestion in 2009 and its predicted $23 billion annual cost in Australia by 2020.

Effect of pulmonary artery pressure‐guided management on outcomes of patients with heart failure outside clinical trials: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of real‐world evidence with the CardioMEMS Heart Failure System

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, Volume 27, Issue 10, Page 1857-1865, October 2025.
Meta‐analysis on the main outcomes of pulmonary artery pressure (PAP)‐guided management with the CardioMEMS Heart Failure (HF) System in patients with HF outside clinical trials. Effect measures are expressed as pooled means (95% CI), mean differences (95% CI), or pooled incidence rate ratios (95% CI), as appropriate.

Threats to Security in DSRC/WAVE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) enabled road vehicles are on the brink of actualizing an important application of mobile ad hoc networks. It is crucial that the messages exchanged between the vehicles and between the vehicles and specialized infrastructure be reliable, accurate and confidential.
